Pay on chargeable weight, with consolidation to keep it low

One Master Airway Bill, one contract and one team for every shipment

Everything an export business needs, in one place.
Everything an export business needs, in one place.
Our team prepares commercial invoices, packing lists, HS classification and certificates of origin before dispatch. This helps your cargo clear customs without delays at the airport.
Each consignment goes on the carrier and route that is best for its destination, deadline and budget. We do not push everything on one default airline.
We combine shipments going to major hubs every day, so your cargo often moves with other shipments. This helps bring down the cost per kg while keeping the route moving as planned.
Export clearance in India and import procedures at the destination are handled as part of the same process, with duties and taxes estimated before the shipment moves.
Transit insurance is available on request. It covers the entire journey from pickup to final delivery, so a high-value bulk load is never at risk.
Track every consignment on one system from pickup to delivery. You get one Master Airway Bill and one point of contact, so you never have to chase a middleman.

Air cargo is billed on chargeable weight
Airlines charge on the higher of two figures: the actual weight of the shipment, or its volumetric weight, which depends on the space it takes. A light but bulky load is billed for its size, not its weight.
So the way you pack and consolidate directly affects your cost. QS AXIS builds each load to keep chargeable weight low. We also show you the number before the cargo flies, so there is no surprise on the invoice.
AIR CARGO CHARGEABLE WEIGHT
Volumetric = L × W × H (cm) ÷ 5000 Chargeable = max (actual, volumetric)
Air cargo uses a 6000 divisor, not the 5000 used for courier parcels. So volumetric weight comes out a little lower. The airline bills whichever figure is higher. Pack tight, pay less.
Air cargo, answered
How is air cargo priced?
Air cargo is priced on chargeable weight. This is the higher of the actual weight and the volumetric weight. Volumetric weight is length × width × height in cm, divided by 5000. Light and bulky loads are billed on volume. Dense loads are billed on weight. We work out the figure and show it to you before dispatch. We also build the load to keep it as low as your cargo allows.
What’s the difference between this and QS AXIS e-commerce shipping?
E-commerce shipping is for single parcels going to your end customers under CSB IV and CSB V. Cargo is for bulk and B2B consignments such as pallets, wholesale stock and marketplace or FBA inbound. These move as air freight on an airway bill. Many brands use both. They send parcels to shoppers and cargo to restock their warehouses abroad.
Can you deliver door-to-door, duties paid?
Yes. You can choose airport-to-airport delivery, where the shipment is handed over at the destination airport. For door-to-door delivery, DDP terms cover delivery to the final address, including applicable duties. We estimate duties and taxes in advance, so you have a clearer idea of the total cost.
Who handles the export documentation and customs?
Our in-house regulatory team takes care of the paperwork and customs process. They prepare the commercial invoice, packing list, HS classification and certificate of origin before the shipment leaves. Export clearance in India and import procedures at the destination are handled together, keeping the process straightforward.
Is my cargo insured?
Transit insurance is available on request. It covers the full journey from pickup to delivery. It is a good idea for high-value bulk cargo, where one load can be worth a lot of money.
How long does air cargo from India take?
It depends on the service you choose it may vary between 4 to 10 days depending on the country , airlines chosen . We help you pick the one that fits your deadline and budget.
What do I need to start shipping cargo with QS AXIS?
You need to share your IEC, AD Code and KYC once to activate cross-border cargo. After that, the same details work for every shipment. Our team will guide you through the process.
